Covid, impeachment, riots, lockdowns, wildfires, — we all have plenty of reasons to kick 2020 in the ass with a classic “don’t let the door hit you on the way out” sendoff.
The only problem is we’re still stuck with our power hungry politicians — hypocritical elites who get off on controlling the masses from their fortified mansions.
I’m talking to you, Gavin “French Laundry Plumpjack” Newsom and Nancy “Let Them Eat Ice Cream” Pelosi.
Whatever.
The one great epiphany that came out of 2020 is the realization that we can live in a screwed up nation but not a screwed up nation AND a screwed up state like California.
Yup, that ship has sailed. The mass California exodus has begun. Look out Texas, here we come.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m sure gonna miss the mountains, the beaches and the weather. There was a time when I thought for sure that I would end my days here. That’s just not in the cards.
Somehow in a matter of years California has become a single party autocracy more akin to communist China than democratic America.
Well, life goes on. It’s always been my experience that, when one door closes, another door opens. That’s as true of where you live and work as it is of when. Now it’s time to close the door on 2020 and open the door on 2021.
